Plein Air Garden
Rawls Museum Arts was proud to partner with the Franklin Garden Club for a memorable Plein Air event during Historic Garden Week in Southeastern Virginia. As part of the “Homes and Gardens along Historic Clay Street” tour, local and international artists painted live amidst beautifully curated homes and gardens, capturing the essence of the region’s natural beauty. Finished pieces were later displayed in our Flora exhibit, highlighting the rich connection between horticulture and visual art. The post event celebration at RMA featured a stunning food art tablescape created by Education Director Holly Gizzi and family—an artistic display that was as visually impressive as it was delicious. The event brought together community, creativity, and cultural appreciation for an unforgettable evening at the Museum
