Rawls Museum Arts offers a variety of opportunities for individuals to engage with the arts and support the Museum’s mission. The Museum welcomes volunteers of all backgrounds and ages to assist with events, visitor services, and behind-the-scenes tasks.

Why Volunteer?
As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to:

No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to help and a positive attitude. All applicants must pass a background check and complete a volunteer application prior to approval.

Rawls Museum Arts was founded in 1958 with the mission “To promote, encourage and develop interest in, knowledge of, appreciation for, and practice of the arts; to provide collective cultural enrichment for the people of the City of Franklin, and the counties of Southampton, Isle of Wight, Surry, and Sussex.” As an affiliate of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, we bring a wide variety of art experiences to all ages through activities such as art exhibits, workshops, summer classes, and more. We hope you will be a part of enhancing our community through the arts by sponsoring the efforts of Rawls Museum Arts.
Rawls Museum Arts is funded through grants as well as various donations which includes memberships.
